About ashwin ramaswami (he/him):

Ashwin Ramaswami is a Johns Creek native and son of immigrants dedicated to public service and advocacy. He has worked with nonprofits, startups, and small businesses to use technology for public interest and create jobs. As a civil servant, Ramaswami worked at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on cybersecurity and election security, working with state and local election offices to secure the 2020 and 2022 elections. If elected, Ashwin would be the first Indian American in the Georgia state legislature and the first Gen Z State Senator in Georgia.

Ashwin is invested in working for policies that will benefit the local AAPI community. If elected, he strives to expand access to healthcare and provide resources and services for undocumented immigrants in Georgia. Additionally, Ashwin is committed to fully funding Georgia’s education system, investing more in opportunities for underserved communities, and lowering costs for working families. Ashwin brings a fresh perspective and acknowledges that success comes through solidarity and collaboration across AAPI communities. He is dedicated to working regularly with AAAF on our policy priorities and aims to meet his community where they are, regardless of their previous political engagement.
