Community Dinner - Take Action on Land Laws

Community Dinner - Take Action on Land Laws

In partnership with Asian Americans Advancing Justice -Atlanta, AREAA Atlanta, and Georgia AAPI Hub, we are hosting a community dinner to inform and engage impacted individuals on bills in the Georgia State and House chambers (SB 420 and HB 1093) that could threaten the ownership, purchase, and lease of property. The bills target people from China, however, many other immigrant groups could be impacted as well. These bills could result in discrimination against people for how they look, regardless of whether they are Chinese or have U.S. citizenship.

Join us for dinner as we learn how we can come together as a community to stop these discriminatory legislations. Lawmakers from the AAPI Law Caucus will attend and can help answer any questions you may have. This is a very important issue, and it is crucial that lawmakers know you are engaged!

Where: Canton House, 4825 Buford Highway NE, Chamblee, Georgia, 30341

When: Tuesday, February 20, 2024, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

4825 Buford Highway NE, Chamblee, Georgia, 30341
