Volunteer
Stay involved with your community through the Asian American Advocacy Fund! As we approach 2025, we will have several volunteer opportunities.
What Kind of volunteer opportunities does AAAF have?
The Asian American Advocacy Fund is committed to providing any training and support needed to ensure your volunteering experience is enjoyable and informative. The following are examples of volunteer opportunities that pop up during the year but are not exhaustive.
Share your story
There are many opportunities your personal story to help advance issue-based campaigns focused on immigrant rights, economic justice, racial equity, and protecting our fundamental freedoms. By lifting up your voice, you can help bring these critical issues to life—putting real people at the center of the fight for change. Your story may be featured in media campaigns, shared across social media platforms, or even used as testimony at the Georgia Capitol to inform lawmakers. This is a powerful opportunity to make a difference by showing the human impact behind the policies that shape our communities.
Use your native language fluency to help us reach community members
For people with written fluency, we ask them to review documents since we create documents, fliers and mail to reach community members who speak many Asian languages. For people with verbal fluency, we rely on community members who can speak fluently over the phone or at a community event when provided with a script or other information in English.
Canvass or Phonebank throughout the year
Connect with community members and share information on critical issues and elections.
and many more opportunities! The best way to stay informed about potential opportunities is to sign up to volunteer and attend a volunteer orientation session.
