ABOUT Rep. Mary Frances Williams:

Rep. Williams is an incumbent, a lifelong Marietta resident, and a passionate public servant. In her time at the State Capitol, she has been an advocate for her communities in House District 37. We’re excited to support her reelection campaign and make sure she can continue to serve her constituents in Cobb County.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING Rep. Williams:

Rep. Williams is a lifelong resident of Marietta and has a deep passion for public service and community advocacy. Before winning this seat in 2018, she was an effective public policy advocate for nonprofits that serve families, women, and children where she helped to restore millions of dollars to state school nutrition programs. Rep. Williams is dedicated and committed to serving her community and constituents.

Rep. Williams has been a champion for education and healthcare policies. Rep. Williams believes the state budget should prioritize education; moreover, she acknowledges the burden and cost of adequate healthcare, and has been outspoken about increasing affordable healthcare for all Georgians.

On voting rights, Representative Williams is a vocal supporter of hand-marked paper ballots and critical of the many vulnerabilities presented in Georgia’s new voting machines. As a member of the Government Affairs Committee, she In her role, she pushed for stronger voter protections, fewer barriers, and more transparency. Additionally, she has successfully pushed for more absentee ballot drop boxes, fought against precinct location changes during an election cycle, and extensively reviewed and discussed issues in Cobb County voting locations during the June 2020 Primary Elections.

Rep. Williams has proven her understanding of the barriers that communities of color face from issues like voter suppression and inadequate education and healthcare access, and the Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse Rep. Mary Frances Williams for House District 37!
