ABOUT Priscilla Smith:

Priscilla is ready to provide her constituents with fair and responsive representation while putting the needs of her constituents first. She is a longtime advocate for better voting practices and voting rights, along with other key issues impacting Georgia families. We’re excited to support Priscilla and ensure that Georgians have a strong voice and advocate for them in House District 34.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING Priscilla:

Priscilla Smith is a lifelong Georgian with 20 years of experience as an educator. As a parent, artist, educator, and activist, she is dedicated to her community and ensuring the needs of her community are met. She is running to protect every Georgians right to accessible, affordable healthcare, quality education, equal treatment and protections under the law, fair and livable wages, and body autonomy.

As an educator, Priscilla has witnessed the impacts that prejudice, stereotyping, bullying, and racism have on minority students, and she sees these detrimental behaviors being translated outside of an educational setting. She deeply understands the voter suppression strategies that are being used to silence minority voters, and is dedicated to instilling better voting practices across the state.

As an advocate for better and affordable healthcare, Priscilla would fight to expand medicaid and lower the age for Medicare coverage. She wants to uncouple healthcare from employment and reinforce protection from exclusion based on pre-existing conditions. She has a deep understanding of the connection between wealth and health and pushes to increase accessibility to healthcare for people who cannot afford it.

Priscilla will continue to advocate for her community members and stand alongside them at the State Capitol; because of her dedication and understanding of her constituents and their issues, the Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse Priscilla Smith for HD - 34!
