ABOUT Connie Di Cicco:

Connie is a business owner, mom, community member, activist, and active PTA member. She has experience working at the State Capitol alongside Representative Mary Frances Williams and is intimately familiar with the legislative process. As our future State Representative from State District 44, Connie is determined to include the voices of communities of color in the legislative process.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING Connie:

Connie grew up in Roswell, Georgia and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 1998. She has a Masters in Television, Film & Recording Arts, and her background in documentary film has been the foundation of her advocacy work. She spent the last two years working as a Chief of Staff for State Rep. Mary Frances Williams, and understands how the Capitol works internally and identified that there is a dire need for change there. As a business owner, mom, community member, activist, and PTA mom, she has effectively learned how to identify and satisfy the different needs of each community.

Connie is a progressive and compassionate candidate for House District 44. She is passionate about healthcare and believes that all Georgians should have access to the healthcare they need; she understands that representatives have a moral obligation to address vast health disparities throughout the state and is willing to be a leader in prioritizing healthcare affordability and access. Moreover, Connie understands the intersectionality of race and healthcare accessibility and its impacts, especially during COVID-19.

Connie also supports many policies regarding voting rights, immigration, and the environment. Connie will work to remove the many barriers to voting that inevitably disenfranchise many minority voters. She is an advocate for restoring the Voting Rights Act and creating ballot accessibility for people who face many barriers to voting.

Connie is dedicated to working for all communities in her district, including those who come from Asian American and immigrant backgrounds. The Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse Connie Di Cicco for House District 44!
