ABOUT Shea Roberts:

Shea Roberts is an attorney, business owner, and proven leader in her district. Shea is a vocal advocate for voting rights protections and has made redistricting reform a key part of her platform. She is a public servant dedicated to holding the government accountable and delivering results for her constituents. We’re excited to support Shea in her campaign for State House 52.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING Shea:

As a mom, attorney, small business owner, and an active community member of her district, Shea has well-thought out policy goals and ideas for many of the problems that Georgians face. She specializes on land use and family law; as part of her job, Shea reads and interprets legislation daily and is successful in bringing opposing parties together on complex, emotional issues that impact families, homes, and neighborhoods--a necessary skill for a State Legislator.

Shea will fight for fair and secure elections, an end to gerrymandering, and transparent, accountable leadership. Shea is critical of modern-day voter suppression tactics and is ready to stand up and advocate for equitable election practices. Shea understands that this election is about more than just this year- it’s about the next decade for Georgians. The 2021 redistricting process is at stake, and now is the time for leaders at the state level to step up and demand that election protections are strengthened and every vote counts this year. Especially for people of color, election integrity and safety is critical to shaping the health of our communities in the coming years.

Shea is committed to fully expanding Medicaid and defending reproductive justice and a woman’s right to bodily autonomy. Healthcare for all uninsured Georgians, whether they’re entrepreneurs, freelancers, hospitality workers, or single parents, is on the ballot this fall. Especially in the middle of a global pandemic that has further exposed racial disparities in our healthcare system, electing a leader who has strong stances on healthcare is in the best interest of every Georgian.
