ABOUT Rep. Betsy Holland:

As the incumbent for this seat, Rep. Holland has fought for all Georgians. She is a strong supporter of expanding healthcare for all Georgians, investing in more equitable public education, and voting rights. We’re excited to support her reelection campaign and make sure she can continue to fight for Georgia families in House District 54.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING Rep. Holland:

Betsy grew up in Marietta and has attended Georgia Public Schools. Betsy has been a longtime community advocate; even in her Corporate role at Turner Broadcasting, she worked to develop volunteer and community outreach programs and later took over the company’s philanthropic giving and community partnerships. Betsy is an active member of her community and many community organizations such as the Atlanta Community Foodbank, ToolBank USA, Communities in Schools, and Fugees.

Rep. Holland is committed to continue delivering leadership that keeps citizens safe and increases the quality of life for all Georgians. Especially during COVID-19, Rep. Holland wants to push for Medicaid for all Georgians. Many Georgians have lost their jobs along with their insurance; many Georgians remain uninsured in the midst of a global pandemic. Rep. Holland is also in favor of creating stable rural health systems.

Rep. Holland is unwavering in her support to fully fund public schools. She recognizes that many educators are facing burnout and high turnover due to the lack of funding for educators. Rep. Holland will work to ensure that public schools receive adequate and equitable funding to increase the quality of education for all Georgians. She also supports fully funding HOPE Scholarship and creating need-based scholarships for low income families.

Rep. Holland has also been vocal about social equality. As a member of the Voting Rights Caucus, Rep. Holland worked hard to enact legislation to make voting easier and more accessible for all Georgians. Rep. Betsy Holland is someone who will continue to advocate for all the rights of Georgians, and the Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse her for House District 54!
