ABOUT Dr. Jason Hayes:

Dr. Hayes is experienced in both the medical field and public service. He currently runs his own medical practice in Alpharetta and in treating his patients, he has realized the dire need for Medicaid expansion and increased healthcare accessibility in medically underserved areas of Georgia. Throughout his career, he has participated in many civic engagement and advocacy programs, and Dr. Hayes is ready to bring his expertise to the Georgia State Legislature.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING Jason:

Dr. Hayes is known in his community through his service as a medical doctor and public health expert. Currently, he lives and practices in Alpharetta, and his district consists of parts of Roswell, Johns Creek, and Alpharetta. As a business owner, doctor of color, and public health expert, Dr. Hayes is a great candidate for this district.

Many of his future constituents are also his patients, which has helped him gain an in-depth understanding of the health resources his community needs, like Medicaid expansion. Dr. Hayes is advocating for increasing access to healthcare, teacher salaries/benefits, restoring the HOPE scholarship funding, and protecting small businesses. Moreover, he has realized that public health experts are especially necessary in the State House in order to provide insight to how public health measures deeply impact Georgians.

As someone who has extensive education, Dr. Hayes has a high value and respect for educators, and has thoughtful solutions to increase the quality of education for both students and teachers. The Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse Jason Hayes for House District 49!
