Why We’re Endorsing Kelly Rose

Kelly is passionate about healthcare and redistricting. She has insightful solutions and proposals to alleviate these issues that heavily impact Georgians daily. As a business owner, Kelly understands the importance of small businesses in our communities and the overall health of the economy. We’re excited to support Kelly Rose for Senate District 17 to ensure we have a strong voice for all Georgians.

Kelly lives on a small farm in McDonough with two small children and husband. As a mom, mentor, business owner, and voice for her community, Kelly is proud to stand up for her community to fight for a better and more compassionate Georgia.

Kelly believes in equal rights for all and she believes that every person deserves accessible and affordable healthcare. As a State Senator, she will vote to expand Medicaid so we can bring federal funds to Georgia to provide healthcare for Georgians. She will also expand options for affordable health insurance that isn’t tied to an employer so Georgians can have insurance as they start businesses or go through periods of unemployment.

Kelly additionally has policy proposals to expand Georgia’s healthcare workforce by creating incentives for medical schools to admit more students creating scholarship programs for medical and nursing students. Moreover, she is a strong advocate of reproductive justice and the intersectionality of reproductive justice and health care. She believes in providing adequate healthcare for women, especially pregnant women, and accessible birth control.

Kelly is a strong advocate to end harmful gerrymandering practices. She is committed to supporting the creation of a nonpartisan, independent commission to draw our district lines, so her constituents interests are represented accurately. Kelly is a great candidate for this district, and the Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse her!
