ABOUT NAKITA HEMINGWAY:

Nakita Hemingway is an advocate for diverse representation, affordable healthcare, and better public education. Nakita understands the many hurdles that marginalized communities face daily in Georgia. She wants to bring better representation to the Gold Dome and celebrate the diversity of Georgians by promoting unity and equal representation. We’re excited to support her in her campaign to represent House District 104.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING NAKITA:

Nakita Hemingway is a wife, mother of four children, realtor, entrepreneur, and farmer. As a woman of color, she has faced many obstacles in Georgia. Nakita is running to remove roadblocks so all Georgians have a fair opportunity to pursue their dreams regardless of ethnicity or socio-economic background.

House District 104 is both suburban and rural, fostering a diverse community. Nakita understands her constituents are diverse and have different needs, and she will fight to make sure their needs are met. Nakita is an advocate for increasing affordable healthcare by expanding Medicaid and increasing rural hospitals to amend rural Georgia’s hospital desert.

Nakita recognizes the lack of diversity in the Georgia State House; as a Black woman, she wants to bring her insight and experiences to better reflect the needs of many Georgians. She is committed to fair government practices that do not discriminate and promote socioeconomic diversity. As a community leader, Nakita will make a great representative for House District 104, and the Asian American Advocacy Fund is proud to endorse Nakita Hemingway!
