Rohit Malhotra is a proven community leader with 15 years of experience fighting for a fairer, more just Atlanta. As the founder of the nationally recognized Center for Civic Innovation, he has championed policies that make neighborhoods safer, housing more affordable, and civic engagement stronger. His work has earned recognition from Harvard, Georgia Tech, and even the late Congressman John Lewis, who called him a “good troublemaker” for his relentless push for equity and accountability.

As the son of working-class Indian immigrants, Rohit knows what it’s like for families to work hard and still struggle to get ahead. That’s why he’s running for Atlanta City Council President, to take bold action on economic inequality and create real pathways for families to not just get by, but to build lasting stability and opportunity.
