About Krista Durant (she/her):
Krista Durant is a dedicated mother, nurturer, and dynamic business owner. To better serve students and their families within the Dekalb School System, she completed a comprehensive 32-hour Parent Advocate training. As a passionate advocate, Krista is also an active member of COCCI (Color of Crohn’s and Chronic Illness). It is a platform offering guidance and support to patients and caregivers navigating their diagnoses as well as the healthcare system.
Beyond her advocacy work, Krista serves as a respected notary, utilizing her skills to facilitate essential legal processes and transactions for her fellow community members. Her compassionate spirit and strong sense of purpose led her to become a minister, providing spiritual guidance and support to those in need.
Krista's leadership extends to the educational realm as well, where she serves as the dedicated two-term PTA President, collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators to enhance the educational experience for all students. Her unwavering commitment to nurturing thriving communities makes her an invaluable asset to Clarkston's ongoing progress.
