Dr. Jasmine Clark

State house District 108

About Dr. Jasmine Clark (She/her):

Dr. Jasmine Clark is a Georgia native currently serving as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Biology Department at Emory University. She first ran for office in 2018 because she felt that more scientific voices needed to be represented in government. Since winning her election that year, Jasmine has worked to uplift the needs of the extremely diverse constituency in her district. She is now running for re-election to continue the work of fighting for a better democracy and state for all.

Why We’re Endorsing:

Jasmine is dedicated to protecting immigrant communities,  and advocating for working families. As an incumbent, she publicly spoke against HB 30, a bill that falsely equated certain criticism of the state of Israel with antisemitism, and committed to continuing her support for free speech protections. Additionally, Jasmine supports the In-State Tuition bill for immigrant students and would like to work with AAAF to advance it, as she sits on the House Higher Education Committee. Jasmine strives to represent and do what is best for her community and will further inform herself through advocacy groupsto better understand the diverse needs of the people she serves.

Key Issues:
