ABOUT JASPER WATKINS III:

Jasper Watkins brings with him years of experience and a plan to invest in addressing the issues that most directly impact our communities. Jasper is committed to promoting productive policies, like increasing access to low income and senior housing and working to protect marginalized communities. Jasper Watkins is ready to rebuild and expand infrastructure, hold elected officials accountable, and move Gwinnett County forward together.

WHY WE’RE ENDORSING JASPER:

Jasper Watkins III is a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served 25 years as a decorated Army Pharmacist. He knows that Gwinnett County District 3 deserves bold leadership to discuss and put forth measures to improve and fix immediate issues to the region. He has a “3-T” platform comprising Transportation, Transformation, and Transparency.

Jasper wants to establish dashboards and scorecards so citizens know where tax dollars are going, how safe their city is, and how well the city is performing. He also has committed to supporting measures to expand tenant rights in GA and expanding funding for groups that provide eviction defense. Jasper will hold developers accountable to being in accordance with affordable housing measures.

Jasper is running to serve on the Board of Commissioners because he is ready to see a change in leadership. Gwinnett County residents deserve public servants who will honor the oath of office and protect community development and expansion.
