State House District 98

About Marvin Lim (He/Him):

Marvin Lim is an immigrant from the Philippines, who has worked as a civil rights and securities attorney, with organizations like the ACLU and the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Since being first elected to State Representative in 2021, he has successfully brought over $22 million in funding to his community, which has the largest concentration of immigrants of any House district. He is also founder of the Lucky Shoals Community Association, which has helped bring further resources to his community.

Why We’re Endorsing:

Representative Lim's top priorities in office are issues faced by immigrant communities. He has worked closely with grassroots organizations on a number of priority issues. He sponsored the Freedom to Drive Act in the 2021-2022 Legislative Session, a bill that would restore driver’s license access to all Georgia residents regardless of legal residency and immigration status, which has been a top policy priority for the Georgia Immigrant Rights Alliance. He has a strong desire to continue to work with local community organizations on accessible political education for local immigrant communities.

Key Issues:

  • Immigrant rights

  • Reproductive rights and maternal health
