About Laura MurvaRtian (she/her):
Laura Murvartian is a business executive, nonprofit leader, small business owner, and proud immigrant. After immigrating from Mexico as a child, she watched her parents work hard to build a better future for their family. Laura went on to become the first in her family to graduate from college, built a successful career in business, and founded nonprofits that have expanded opportunities for Latino families and children across Georgia. As a longtime Johns Creek resident, Laura has spent more than 25 years serving her community through nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and civic engagement. She is running to bring her experience in business, public policy, and community-focused leadership to the State Senate and ensure that Georgia’s government works for families and communities it serves.
