WHY WE’RE ENDORSING BRIAN:
Brian Weaver shows a clear commitment to the city and the people of Johns Creek. Brian’s candidacy centers on protecting local businesses, building Johns Creek’s economy, a commitment to public safety, and ensuring the voices of residents are heard and included in citywide decisions. When the city of Johns Creek was awarded federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) funds through Fulton county, Brian voted to accept the funding and worked to make sure the funds would specifically help small- and medium-sized local businesses. Weaver also believes in the future of our youth. His involvement with the Johns Creek Explorer’s Program shows his commitment to building a pipeline for young Georgians to explore careers in Public Safety, Technology, Communication, Architecture, Engineering and more.
As a City Council member, Brian was only one of 2 members who voted against paying out the former police chief of Johns Creek when it was revealed he sexually assaulted a female employee. He is dedicated to ensuring that city leadership is accountable to the people they serve.
