About michelle kang (She/her):

Michelle Kang is a first-generation Korean American immigrant and longtime community advocate. After moving to Georgia in 1992, she experienced many of the same challenges that immigrant families face, which inspired her to become a leader in the community. Michelle has fought for language access, immigrant rights, and safer, more welcoming communities, and helped organize the first Suwanee AAPI Heritage Month Celebration.

Why We’re Endorsing:

Michelle has spent years showing up for immigrant and AAPI communities whenever people needed support. From advocating for language access to helping families after the Hyundai ICE raid, she has consistently put people first. We know she'll continue fighting for working families, immigrant communities, and a government that listens to everyone.

Key Issues:

  • Protecting immigrant communities

  • Expanding language access

  • Lowering costs for working families

  • Strengthening public education

  • Protecting free speech and the right to protest
