About Shenée Holloway (SHe/Her):

Shenée Johnson Holloway currently serves as a Coordinator for Family Engagement with Gwinnett County Public Schools. She has been actively involved in various roles within the community such as the Citizens Budget Advisory Group, the Ethics Board, the Planning Commission, and the city's Steering Committee. She holds a Bachelor's in journalism from Florida A&M University, two Master's degrees from Mercer University, one in Teaching Secondary English and the other in Educational Leadership, a Public Leadership Certification from Harvard Kennedy School of Harvard University, and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certification from Mercer University.

Shenée shows a clear commitment to the city and people of Duluth; she has a wealth of experience, understands how diverse and vibrant her community is, and her run signifies the need for more inclusive leadership in the city. Shenée is running on the platform of “building bridges, connecting communities.” She believes in Duluth, and she believes in the power of engagement, growth, and connection. She wants to see more community engagement for all and to empower our future leaders by amplifying the voices of our youth, so that every citizen can be involved in decision-making. She also wants to foster sustainable living by helping to make sure Duluth is an eco-friendly community by creating safe spaces and providing resources for growth.
